Ask a man what he looks for in a woman and you may get some mixed answers. Depending on the age of the man in question, he wants and needs may be similar or completely different. Older men want someone to grow old with, someone who has already raised their children and someone who is free to travel the world. These are the golden years everyone talks about.
I don't know about you, but I'm not ready for retirement. For women over 40, we have a great deal of options open to us. Depending on your personality and lifestyle you can find someone who is interested in the same things you are. I used to be worried about the age thing when it came to dating, but not anymore.I have found out that men really don't care about our age as much as we do. Look around, you'll see older women with younger men.
It's because younger men, typically age 28-40 are looking for women who are confident, self assured, financially stable and independent. They don't want the giggling school girl who is looking for someone to support them. Guys want someone intelligent who can hold a good conversation, who is up on current events, has an opinion of politics and the state of the economy. In other words: A mature woman. He may be ready to settle down and wants someone to spend his life with.
Usually by the time a man reaches his late 20's to early 30's he begins thinking about his future. In their 20's, their time is spent thinking about parties, girls and the pursuit of money. But as they get older they want someone with substance.
If you are a woman in your 40's and have never thought about dating a younger man, give it some thought. Younger men are enthusiastic, adventurous, stable minded, and don't care about age or things that they don't consider to be of any importance.Go into any forum and ask men there if age is a factor when they choose someone to date. Most men I know say no, they give a basic 20 year age range so they are open.
It's all about finding that special person who gives you butterflies! Love is finding someone you connect with on every level. And things such as age, looks and finances are superficial.
