Dating Over 40
Over 50s Dating Has Positive Aspects For Over 50s Singles
By William Francis
Reaching fifty does not mean that an individual has to give up having an active social life. People over fifty are often ready to explore new options such as traveling to exciting places or taking classes just for the fun of it. For over 50s singles, dating fits into this equation.
Over 50s dating is not your grandpa's dating experience. Although sitting on a front porch swing while holding hands is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, today's over 50s singles enjoy many of the same activities as their thirty something counterparts. This group is not limited to shuffleboard. Many over 50s guys and gals are baby boomers who believe that age is only a number.
Older adult singles date for different reasons
Over 50s dating is like dating at any age. For some it involves seeking that special someone who makes the heart skip a beat. Others are primarily interested in friendships. They may be looking for a purely platonic relationship that gives them someone with whom they can enjoy dinner, a movie or working out at a fitness center, with no expectations of intimacy.
Over 50s dating can mean more choices.
One is not limited to dating another person of the same age. That special person could be ten years older or ten years younger and that's entirely acceptable. Unlike the twenty year old dating a fifteen year old, a fifty year old male or female can date a forty year old or a sixty year old and most people wont give the relationship a second thought.
For an older person who is widowed or divorced, dating the right person can help fill a lonely void. Over 50s dating can improve ones overall well-being. When an adult who is over fifty finds a compatible date mate, the relationship can provide a new lease on life and build self-confidence.
The Author William Francis "The Matchmaker", personally reviews Over 50s Dating sites. He has first hand knowledge of over 50 singles dating, being one of the dating over fifty seniors he speaks of. He has helped many Over 50s Singles to become a dating online senior and find their true mate.

Do Senior Men Like Assertive Women?
By Alfred M Lee and Janis Walters
We have been asked the following question which seems to be a common concern of women. "I have been attending some functions in our community, and there is a fella I would like to meet and although we make eye contact from time to time, he never makes a move to talk to me. Is it okay for me to take the initiative in making contact? I know in our society, women have been taught that being assertive and going after what they want is generally a good thing, but is it a good thing when it comes to one's love life? "
Our thoughts:
Jan: Social events are meant for people to meet each other. There is no reason why you shouldn't talk with EVERYONE there. I would make it a point to go up to each group, introduce myself, and talk for a while as I work my way towards the guy I'm interested in meeting. Then I would go to the next group and talk for a bit. Eventually you will get to the man your interested in. It is a lot easier this way than making a beeline towards him. If he is in a group, just go up and join in, after all it is a community social event and that is what you have been doing since entering the room. Also, if you end up in a group discussion with him, just turn and say to him, "What do you think about that?" or "How about those Dodgers? (Substituting your local team of course)" You will know if he is interested in you by how he responds. It is a mindset. Think of him as a brother or friend, what would you say to them and how would you act? Oh, one other thing, wear a conversation piece, such as a necklace, pin, earrings or something he can talk about. Be brave, you have nothing to loose but loneliness.
Al: Generally, women wait for the man to make first contact, but I believe that is "old school" thinking, not in keeping with the current "equality" of the sexes. Personally I prefer a woman who approaches and begins the conversation. It let's me know she is self-assured, independent and interested, and takes some of the pressure off men like me, that tend to be a little on the shy side. The woman, however, must be careful to temper the assertiveness to avoid appearing desperate, domineering or abrasive. So I would say, use some common sense, start the conversation, and see what develops! If all this common sense advice fails, try CLEAVAGE, SPIKES AND A SHORT SKIRT! Compatibility With Over 50s Singles Is The Key To Over 50s Dating Success
By William Francis
Over 50s dating can be great when you meet someone special. Now you might ask, where do I go to meet someone to date? First, think about what you enjoy doing. If you have special hobbies or interests, try to meet others that enjoy the same activities. If you love playing golf, your potential date might be on the driving range or putting green.
If you are a world traveler, Mr. or Ms. Exciting could be booked on the same cruise as you. Of course your friends and family may be able to provide familiar hook-ups if you ask them. The best thing about meeting a date through someone you know is that you can get a little history before you get too invested in a relationship.
Online dating services offer a measure of safety for those over 50s singles seeking someone to date. Quality "match-making" services conduct background checks and screen potential dates to determine who is the best match for an over 50s single looking for a date.
Over 50s dating does not mean settling for just anyone
Some over 50s singles might find themselves longing for companionship so much that they might be tempted to start a relationship with the first person who shows interest. However if you are over fifty and looking for companionship, be patient. Seek a relationship that brings good things to your life. Rely on your wisdom or common sense to guide you through the process.
Wisdom that comes with experience is invaluable. If any of your past relationships were negative or less than fulfilling, avoid letting history repeat itself. Learn from past mistakes. You may not be looking for marriage, but you certainly want someone who encourages you and helps you appreciate what life has to offer. If you find that the person you are dating is not compatible, simply move on! Over 50s dating should be a pleasant and mutually satisfying experience.

Women Over 40, Improve Your Love Life by Dating Younger Men
By Lisa Musser
Ask a man what he looks for in a woman and you may get some mixed answers. Depending on the age of the man in question, he wants and needs may be similar or completely different. Older men want someone to grow old with, someone who has already raised their children and someone who is free to travel the world. These are the golden years everyone talks about.
I don't know about you, but I'm not ready for retirement. For women over 40, we have a great deal of options open to us. Depending on your personality and lifestyle you can find someone who is interested in the same things you are. I used to be worried about the age thing when it came to dating, but not anymore.I have found out that men really don't care about our age as much as we do. Look around, you'll see older women with younger men.
It's because younger men, typically age 28-40 are looking for women who are confident, self assured, financially stable and independent. They don't want the giggling school girl who is looking for someone to support them. Guys want someone intelligent who can hold a good conversation, who is up on current events, has an opinion of politics and the state of the economy. In other words: A mature woman. He may be ready to settle down and wants someone to spend his life with.
Usually by the time a man reaches his late 20's to early 30's he begins thinking about his future. In their 20's, their time is spent thinking about parties, girls and the pursuit of money. But as they get older they want someone with substance.
If you are a woman in your 40's and have never thought about dating a younger man, give it some thought. Younger men are enthusiastic, adventurous, stable minded, and don't care about age or things that they don't consider to be of any importance.Go into any forum and ask men there if age is a factor when they choose someone to date. Most men I know say no, they give a basic 20 year age range so they are open.
It's all about finding that special person who gives you butterflies! Love is finding someone you connect with on every level. And things such as age, looks and finances are superficial.

3 Reasons to Use Senior Dating Services
By Keith Abrams
Senior dating services have taken off as of late. If you're still on the fence or are undecided about them, let's take a look at 3 reasons to use senior dating services.
1 - First off, it's difficult to meet people as you get older through conventional means. This is both because there are less situations in which you meet new people like in school or when starting a new job but also obviously because there are less single people as you grow older. It can be difficult to approach strangers in person, so senior dating services make it easy to connect with other men and women in your same position looking to meet people just like you.
2 - Secondly, by using online senior dating services you have a much better idea of what someone is like just by looking at their profile and therefore your likelihood of compatibility very quickly. Obviously you're not going to waste time getting to know someone if their interests or ideals dramatically differ from yours.
3 - Lastly, using dating sites and senior dating services is much more accepted today than when it first came out years ago. More people are online looking for other singles than ever today thanks to the boon which the internet has brought. It's as simple as can be to simply log on and take a peak around at who is out there before you even have to create your own profile, as well, as a lot of sites offer this feature as well as free profile creation and even messaging and chatting with other members who you find that you might be interested in based on their profiles.
Why not simply take a look around on the best senior dating services just to take a look around to see who is out there? Learn more at http://www.yourreviewsite.com/senior-dating-sites.html and find someone you have so much in common with in minutes, it's that simple!

Online Dating Advice For the Boomer Woman
By Ruth Purple
The available Boomer Woman, is quite shy to advertise herself personally that she would like to meet men. Imagine her telling someone she meets that she would like to date and if that somebody knows someone who would be interested. Society might laugh at her that in her advanced age - 50 and above. She still wants sex; although of course that is not the only reason. It is more discreet therefore to avail of dating services in the internet. But she has to make her personal profile attractive in order to get the attention of men. With vast majority of women who register online, the competition is tough.
You have to read and apply some dating advices for online dating in the internet or in books. Many details are put on line by a lot of other ladies on the dating services. One dating advice you should apply is to make your profile smart and desirable in order to standout. Assessing your target market is one of the basic dating advice for online dating- you have to package yourself depending on the men you desire. If you want an athletic and active man - portray yourself that you are into sports and some action. Like you jog, play lawn tennis, watch auto racing or go to the gym.
If you want someone who is a homebody, portray yourself to be a baker of cookies or a cook of special recipes. As the saying goes, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Or you can also show that you quilt, cross stitch and organize photo albums. This might appeal to a man who wants his house organized day in and day out. If you want a man who is financially stable, the best dating advice for you is to learn about the stock exchange so you can chat about it with him. That way you will know if he is telling the truth or not.
There are many ways of chatting so you can know the truth about the person. When advertising yourself, one practical dating advice for you is to always emphasize your best qualities. Perhaps the best quality of a Boomer woman is that she is a woman of experience and capable of doing many things. The boomer woman is not fretful or jealous or impatient like their younger counterparts. Younger men even prefer to date older women because of these qualities. There is less emotional burden and issues unlike girls in their 20's whose main concerns are shoes and nail colors. Mature women are intelligent and can talk widely of many topics.
Never ever announce that you are a busy woman and obsessive about your job. Most men would not prefer to play second fiddle to a woman's career and some can be intimidated by it. They want to be pampered by a woman. They would want to be more powerful than her when it comes to earning capacity. Men who usually go online are also too busy to go into the complications of blind dates and are more interested to listen to a woman's opinion. And the last but not the least dating advice is - have fun and don't forget to make the most out of your time...who knows, maybe your soul mate is just a click away.
So, go on line and make that powerful profile.
